Y型气动疏水阀上部由阀盖和填料箱组成，利于快速拆装以及在原地维修。倾斜阀杆的构造和的流道形状设计使介质近于直线的方式，阀门具有的Cv值，产生比其它形式阀门更低的压降。

阀门本体上以特殊工艺堆焊硬质合金密封面（密封面表面经过整体硬化处理），结构更紧凑。锥形密封面设计使较小的轴向力就可密封，能提供可靠的密封和长久的使用寿命。

采用阀体中腔导向的阀瓣具有上下两个导引环，阀瓣的顶部和底部同时导向，构成全程在阀体中腔导向的活塞式阀瓣，可以消除因各种受力不当产生的卡死，表面擦伤，阀杆弯曲，阀瓣振颤等现象。阀瓣底部的导引环将90%的流体以接近直线的方式通过，有效地消除所有侧面冲击引起的不良反应。这些特点使该阀门很适用于电站蒸汽快速“排放”和“疏水”系统。

阀瓣密封面堆焊硬质合金，该合金具有的机械特性，耐磨损，耐冲蚀，可保持阀门长久的使用寿命。

阀杆填料采用进口的特种填料，能起到的防漏效果，并且经久耐用，拆装方便。填料箱与阀体处的密封采用夹316高目柔性石墨垫，以预定的扭矩进行装配,安全可靠，杜绝外漏。
